Benefit to Support Muscular Dystrophy Research
RAISED OVER $150,000 for the FSH Society!
Nationally renowned pianist and coach to the San Francisco Merola Opera Program, Steven Blier, and celebrated soprano Julia Bullock joined together to raise funds for the FSH Society and muscular dystrophy research. “Songs in the Key of Steven Blier” a festive evening starting with a reception and silent auction followed by dinner, a live auction and concert. All proceeds went to the award-winning non-profit, the FSH Society.
FSHD, one of the most prevalent types of muscular dystrophy, is a degenerative muscle disease that causes progressive weakness, usually starting with the face, shoulder and arms, but can affect almost any skeletal muscle. FSHD affects approximately 870,000 people yet, currently, there is no treatment or cure.

Instruments of Peace Benefit Concert and Art Auction
RAISED NEARLY $3,000
"Our goal is for these children to become instruments of peace." – Liz Shropshire
A success on so many levels: the awareness of the Shropshire Music Foundation and International Play Ground's work increased exponentially. We raised nearly $3000 and sold every auction item, all while celebrating and supporting our local and global communities.
These two foundations exemplify that the arts serve a function in the lives of war-affected children. With the funds raised, Shropshire began re-instigating its tolerance programs in Northern Ireland; and International Play Ground could preparations for their upcoming performances.
